Disability
Group Short-Term Disability (STD) pays a percentage of your salary if you are unable to work for a short period of time due to sickness or injury (excluding on-the-job injuries, which are covered by workers compensation insurance). A typical STD policy provides you with a weekly portion of your salary, usually 50, 60, or 66 2/3 percent for 13 to 26 weeks. Most STD policies have a “cap,” meaning you receive a maximum benefit amount per month
Group Long-Term Disability is thought by many experts to be the most important insurance that you can purchase. This can be partially attributed to advances in medical care; some diseases and injuries are now disabling rather than deadly, meaning that the incapacitation can be lengthy. Typically, long-term disability can be purchased to replace 50- 70% of salary.
Group Long-Term Care is a variety of services that includes medical and non-medical care to people who have a chronic illness or disability. Long-term care helps meet health or professional needs needed by people of any age. Most long-term care is to assist people with support services such as activities of daily living like dressing, bathing and using the bathroom. Long-term care can be provided at home, in the community, in assisted living or in nursing homes.
Additional Group Benefits
Individual Voluntary Life Insurance will help employees fill gaps in their coverage. You have no regulatory responsibility or financial risk with voluntary benefits. The contracts are between the insuring company and employees; you merely use your buying power to reduce costs for employees, and collect premiums through payroll deductions.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) can offer an added layer of protection on top of workers compensation or it can serve as a supplement to life insurance coverage.
AD&D pays out in the event of a fatal accident or one that results in the loss of a limb or eyesight. In order to receive benefits, your death, loss of a limb, or loss of eyesight must occur within a certain time frame after the accident (usually within three months). Additionally, death must be caused as a direct result of the injuries sustained in the accident. If death occurs and the above criteria are met, the AD&D insurance would pay the principal amount of the policy.
AD&D insurance generally targets anyone seeking inexpensive accident coverage. For example, people employed with high risk jobs such as heavy construction should consider purchasing AD&D even though premiums to cover dangerous jobs are likely to be more expensive.
Dental and Vision Insurance offers a full array of full care plans tailored to meet the needs of diversified healthcare employee benefits. We offer affordable and flexible plans that are simple to buy and use
Dental Insurance plans vary widely, and for this reason what is covered in one plan may be very different than what is covered in another. However, most general dental insurance plans will cover at least: regular dental cleaning, fillings and crowns, emergency tooth replacements, non-cosmetic oral surgeries and dental x-rays.
Vision Insurance provides coverage for the services rendered by eye care professionals such as ophthalmologists and optometrists. The typical vision insurance plan provides yearly coverage for eye examinations and partial or full coverage for eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses, with or without co-pays, depending on the plan chosen.
